Wu-Tang Clan's RZA Finally Makes a Kung-Fu Movie
And it looks pretty awesome! Watch the trailer above and get the deets below:
"Wu-Tang Clan producer, occasional film composer and once-in-a-while actor RZA has spent years working on his kung-fu movie debut, Wu-Tang Vs. The Golden Phoenix. The Shaw Brothers and other kung-fu influences that have flavored his music since the debut of the Wu-Tang Clan have been poured into this film, which looks like an orgy of crazy fights, off-kilter film stock and intentionally overcooked dubbing..."
"...There’s no planned release date for the film, either theatrically or on DVD. But it’s not a total tease: RZA has a deal to make The Man With the Iron Fists at Universal, with Eli Roth co-writing and producing. The $20m film will star RZA as 'the title character, a blacksmith who forges weapons for the inhabitants of a village in feudal China. They are forced to defend themselves, and before you know it, everybody is kung fu fighting.'" (via /Film)

American Shaolin: King of the Kickboxers II (1991)
Ok so. I had been planning to do a post on American Shaolin: King of the Kickboxers 2 for some time now, but the words truly do escape me. The movie was not what I was expecting (in the most ridiculous way possible) and rather than try and explain the movie to you, I have decided to explain nothing at all, and just post up snippets of the movie every now and then and see if you can make sense of it. Starting right now. The only thing I will say is look for Daniel Dae Kim from Lost in his very first ever starring role. All this being said, here is your first puzzle piece:

The Chinese Popeye helps Bruce Lee fight Dracula (1976)
Really titled The Dragon Lives Again, but everyone loves Popeye, Bruce Lee and Dracula. From imdb:
"Bruce Lee" goes to hell, he doesn't look like Bruce Lee because people look different after they die (or so they claim in this film). Along his journey Bruce Lee has a major erection, befriends Popeye, and fights "Clint Eastwood", James Bond, Zatoichi,Emmanuel, a mummy, and others. I'm not making this up. Just when you think the movie can't get any better we reach the life affirming Wizard Of OZ meets The Red Balloon climax.

EDIT: I know those are mummies in the video, but Dracula is in the movie too!
