Eaten Alive (1977)

"My Name is Buck and I'm ready to fuck..."

And so Robert Englund opens Tobe Hooper’s Eaten Alive aka Death Trap aka Horror Hotel aka Legend of the Bayou aka Starlight Slaughter. I have no idea why this movie has so many names, but they’re all pretty appropriate. You can almost compare this to a Lassie story, except here instead of an 8 year-old boy, you have a deranged, murdering hotel manager who hates prostitutes and instead of a collie, you have a crocodile. Not a real one, like Lassie was, but a pretty hilarious mouth-always-open painted foam one. Scary!

One awesome thing though, is that the DVD extras include samples from the original audience test screening comment cards!
