Rock n Roll Nightmare (aka The Edge of Hell aka Why Jon Mikl Thor Will Destroy You)

Ok, I'm not gonna waste your time with fancy words or any other such nonsense. All you need to know is Rock n Roll Nightmare pits Jon Mikl Thor, Canadian rock god and body builder, against satan. This is directed by John Fasano, who would later also direct another metal epic in Black Roses. Below you'll find the ending battle, followed by the same clip with commentary, followed by the video for "Energy" from the movie, this is a total '80s pump-up rock song, followed by Thor's early early appearance on the Merv Griffin Show in 1976, followed by an image dump. Ok, ok, I know I said no words, but a little helps put this Halloween-ish rock n' roll epic media menagerie in context. Rock n Roll Nightmare was then followed 18 years later by a sequel titled Intercessor: Another Rock n Roll Nightmare, so you know what you're about to witness is going to rule. Ok, onto the clips and image awesomeness.

“See you again, old Scratch!”

Don't forget and be fooled, this one is the commentary version of the first video!
“Oh, here come the octopuses...”

“ENERGY TAKES ME WHERE I WANNA BE, AND YOU'RE WHERE I WANNA BE, GIRL YOU GIVE ME....”

Def the hottest act on the strip.

And of course, here's the final treat, the song "Energy" from the soundtrack!

You can buy the whole incredible soundtrack from Thor directly at his site, and the movie is available from Synapse, get them both!

  1. At least the first one was worth watching, the sequel was the worst movie ever.
